How do I add a profile picture to my member profile, or edit my current picture?
If you registered using an email address, then you need to add your picture to your member profile. Once logged in:
- Click on the grey and black default avatar at the top right of your screen (by your name) to go to your member profile page.
- Click on the larger default avatar on your member page (it will show “Change Avatar” when you hover over it).
- Click “Choose File”, navigate to where your photo is on your computer and select the file.
- Finally, click “Upload Avatar” to save the changes.
This process also works to edit a current picture. Simply click on the picture in place, and follow the same steps outlined above.
How do I launch the Help Tour again?
When you see this icon located at the top of the page (either under the Log in and Join buttons or under your profile name) then there is a Help Tour available. To launch, just click on the icon and the pop up will appear.
Why can’t I post messages to a discussion thread?
Visitors can view but not participate in the discussion threads. To set up an account, please join by signing in using Facebook or LinkedIn or by registering using an email account.
If you are already a member and returning to the site to participate, you must first log into your account to be able to post or reply to messages in a discussion thread.
What information do you get from my account if I sign up using Facebook or LinkedIn?
If you sign up using Facebook or LinkedIn, we only retrieve your name, avatar (or profile photo) and password. We will not post or share anything to either social account. The immediate benefits to you are the ability to actively participate in the various activities, and the fact that you only have to remember the one password.
